About Marina

Animals have always been an important part of my life. I grew up with both dogs and cats, and for more than six years I have had daily hands-on experience with dogs. In 2020, I got my own dog, Chloe, and this opened up a whole new world for me: dog training, behaviour and communication.

I believe in reward-based, force-free training and have read books by well-known dog behaviour specialists, including Turid Rugaas, Karen Pryor and Patricia McConnell. I particularly love Turid Rugaas' On Talking Terms with Dogs: Calming Signals, which helped me understand how dogs communicate with each other and with people.

The most important things for me are your dog's safety, health and overall wellbeing, both physical and mental. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, ages and personalities, from Samoyeds and Golden Retrievers to Chihuahuas, Belgian Griffons and Yorkshire Terriers. I also have experience with puppies. I am comfortable giving medication and following specific care routines, including cleaning paws and providing basic post-walk care.

For dog walking, I offer a 30-minute walk around the neighbourhood. I can also use the walk to encourage a dog's interest in food, toys or play, depending on their personality and your preferences.

I work from home, so I am usually very flexible and available throughout the day. I live with my own friendly dog, Chloe, who is comfortable around other dogs. My building has an elevator, which is especially convenient for older dogs who should avoid stairs.

For overnight stays, I don't take dogs who are aggressive or bark excessively. I want every dog in my home to feel safe, calm and comfortable. Dogs are welcome to sleep wherever you allow them to sleep at home, including on the sofa or bed.
