I am a cat person who prefers cats and has experience being a catsitter over any dogs. I do not accept dogs. And definitely no spiders and snakes! My motivation to be a petsitter is because I missed having cats as a company, but also I cannot afford it, so petsitting has so far been the only solution. In Sweden, I've been a catsitter at my friends' house/apartments, sometimes for more than 2 weeks. But anything goes. I upload photos of animals on Instagram or FB (with the owners' consent of course) mainly to update and be as transparent as possible and I regularly write to the owners in case something wrong with their pets. I'll let them know immediately. As for the pet's health in general, it is very important to inform me about their health in case there's an emergency such as veterinary visits in case the owners are not able to due to their long travel, so giving me an address to the local veterinary is the mandatory. I always make sure owners know everything about how their loved pets are doing. Unfortunately, I cannot bring any animals to my current place since I live in a small apartment, so I have to visit your place instead and, many cats prefers to be in their home environment rather than being moved around constantly. Yes, vaccinated cats (all pets!) is mandatory because it's super important that you vaccinate your cats for their health benefits, so please vaccinate them. And if your cats are regulary outdoors, I personally recommend that they are chipped and wearing necklaces with nametags/phone numbers for their own safety as even cats can get lost or ending up in a dangerous situation.
